China Special Needs

WAITING CHILDREN

Sixty percent of the children in Chinese orphanages are children with special needs. Their needs can range from minor correctable  disabilities to major uncorrectable disabilities. A small portion of these children receive the necessary surgeries and rehabilitative services to improve their futures.

China has selected only a few agencies in the United States to find homes for these children.

PARENT ELIGIBILITY

Married couples 30-55 years of age.

Single Females 30 and are under 50

No more then four children in the home under the age of 18.

Able to stay in China for approximately 10-14 days.  

Parents must complete a home study evaluation.

Parents need to meet CCCWA requirements.

One parent must be a US Citizen.

ESTIMATED WAIT TIME 

Three – four months for dossier preparation & USCIS approval

Six to ten months to travel

Estimated  Total: 7-11 months

*Please note that this timeline will begin once you find a child on the waiting list and receive approval for their file.
